Steve:Which summer adventure movie is this?
Steve:Lost Baseball Starts Adventure.
Lovella:Lost Baseball Starts Adventure?
Lovella:Uh, oh, The Sandlot?
Steve:You are correct.
Lovella:Yeah, let's go.
Steve:Welcome to Kids vs. Parents.
Lovella:The family trivia battle with four questions for the kids and four tougher ones for the parents.
Steve:I'm Steve.
Lovella:And I'm Lovella.
Steve:Today, we're going on a summer adventure, Lovella.
Lovella:Ooh.
Steve:Guess the plot is our game today.
Steve:Oh, fun.
Steve:And we're doing all summer adventure movies.
Steve:So, movies that are centered around summer camps or summer road trips.
Steve:Summer vacays.
Steve:Summer vacations.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:All that kind of stuff.
Lovella:Or anything with like kids being off of school.
Steve:Yeah.
Lovella:Going on an adventure kind of thing.
Steve:That's right.
Steve:That's right.
Steve:Yep.
Steve:So over here in the US, it's summer break at the moment and everyone's off.
Steve:So that's kind of why we're doing this theme.
Steve:Guess the plot.
Steve:You get four cryptic clues for the plot of the movie.
Steve:You have to guess the movie from those four words, just like we did up the front.
Steve:All right.
Steve:So what's our prize or our winner today, Navella?
Lovella:The winner gets to choose the flavor of ice cream for the loser.
Lovella:Oh, plot twist.
Steve:Plot twist.
Steve:Whoa.
Steve:Nice.
Steve:Okay.
Steve:Interesting.
Steve:I'm picking vanilla for you.
Steve:If I win, I'm making you eat vanilla.
Steve:No, I'm going to make you eat mint choc chip.
Lovella:Do you know I have part of an ice cream flavor called dish soap?
Lovella:I'm going to give that to you.
Lovella:Where do you get that from?
Lovella:I've heard of it.
Steve:Dish soap?
Lovella:Yep, it's a flavor.
Steve:I don't think I want to taste that one.
Lovella:Anything can be a flavor, you know?
Steve:Anything can be a flavor.
Steve:I'm giving you mint choc chip.
Lovella:Okay, I'm giving you dish soap.
Steve:Give me a real flavor.
Steve:What are you giving me?
Steve:Just don't give me anything with peanuts in it.
Steve:You might kill me.
Lovella:Oh!
Steve:With my peanut allergy.
Lovella:I'm going to give you Nutella.
Steve:No.
Lovella:It's a lot of ice cream.
Steve:You're so mean.
Steve:I wouldn't be able to eat it.
Steve:I'd have to just watch it melt.
Lovella:Oh, bummer.
Steve:No ice cream for you.
Steve:Well, I guess the stakes are pretty high for me then.
Steve:I've got to win this so I get a good flavor of ice cream.
Steve:Who's going to go first today, Lovella?
Lovella:Let's do the kids.
Steve:Kids up first.
Steve:All right.
Steve:Kids, get your sunscreen on.

Lovella:And I know the thing where it's like Camp Rock.
Lovella:Clap, clap, beep.
Steve:You know the theme song for it?
Lovella:No.
Lovella:Like there's a part in the movie where they're all dancing down the beach and doing this random things going camp rock clap clap clap clap camp rock something like that or whatever.

Lovella:I was about to do it.
Lovella:The Mitchells versus the machines.
Steve:That's what I'm like.
Steve:I gave you too much of a clue.
Steve:No, I think you got it before.

Steve:All right.
Steve:Four from four.
Steve:Finally.
Lovella:Okay.
Steve:Finally.
Steve:Hold your breath there.
Steve:Okay.
Lovella:Hold your breath there.
Steve:We're going to be going to the tiebreaker or the bonus question here.
Steve:You've got a chance because you were three, right?
Steve:You were three out of four?
Lovella:Three out of four, yeah.
Steve:And I'm four out of four.
Steve:So you're only one behind me.
Steve:Bonus question is worth two points.
Lovella:All right.
Steve:Right.
Steve:How this works.
Steve:We're going to say one plot, one cryptic plot.
Steve:First person to buzz in.
Steve:Don't say the answer yet.
Steve:Just buzz in.
Steve:First one to buzz in if you know it.
Steve:If you get it correct, you take the two points.
Steve:If you get it incorrect, the two points go to the other team.
Steve:All right.
Steve:Here we go.
Steve:Bonus tiebreaker question.
Lovella:Oh, I'm nervous.
Steve:Twins, sabotage, new romance.
Lovella:Buzz.

Lovella:No, you do know.
Steve:No, I don't.
Steve:There's too many these twins movies.
Steve:I don't know.

Steve:Is there a soccer movie with them?
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:The girls from Full House?

Lovella:because I actually
Lovella:know what this is
Steve:you buzzed in
Steve:I was just trying to
Steve:see if I knew
Lovella:well obviously
Steve:you seem very confident
Lovella:I'm very confident
Lovella:and now I'm going to win
Lovella:because I know
Lovella:I got this right
Lovella:but I was doing so well
Lovella:well too bad
Lovella:now
Lovella:now you're losing
Lovella:and now you've lost
Lovella:because
Lovella:the correct answer
Lovella:was
Lovella:Trap. Oh, yeah.
Lovella:The Parent Trap. Right.
Lovella:Yes. Uh-huh.
Steve:Is that Lindsay Lohan?
Steve:Uh-huh. Lindsay Lohan? Well, there's,
Lovella:that wasn't the original, but that was
Steve:another popular remake. Right, yes, because it's a remake.
Lovella:Another popular remake. You're right.
Lovella:There was two of those. I've only ever watched the popular
Lovella:remake. I've only ever watched that one. Oh, the Lindsay Lohan
Lovella:version? I haven't actually watched the original yet.
Steve:Okay. Yeah, that was in the 90s. Obviously
Lovella:it's The Parent Trap. Yep.
Steve:You are correct now that you say it. Yes.
Steve:I remember.
Steve:I haven't seen that movie in a long time.
Steve:Well, congratulations, Lovella.
Steve:You scooped in there and took the win.
Steve:Well done.
Steve:Thank you.
Steve:Summer movies just came in there and took the bonus.
Steve:Oh, yeah.
Steve:Well done.
Steve:Congratulations.
Steve:That means you get to pick the ice cream flavor for me.
Steve:You're going to stick with dish soap.
Steve:What other flavor?
Steve:Dish soap doesn't exist down in our ice cream store.
Lovella:I feel like you'd be happy with all of the flavors.
Steve:Look, I would kind of be, but I'd be, you know,
Steve:there'd be some that I'd be like, man, I'm just missing out on that flavor.
Steve:That's my favorite flavor and I'd be missing out on it.
Steve:Which one are you going to give me?
Lovella:I'll give you cotton candy.
Steve:Oh, I don't like cotton candy.
Steve:Oh, man.
Steve:That is probably my least favorite flavor.
Steve:But anyway.
Lovella:Oh, bummer, Dad.
Steve:I mean, it's better than no ice cream.
Steve:I must admit.
Lovella:Yeah, that's true.
Lovella:That's true.
Steve:All right.
Steve:Well, thanks for playing along with us today.
Steve:Yes.
Steve:Summer adventure movies.
Steve:I hope you go and check out our summer adventure movie.
Lovella:Or have one of your own.
Lovella:Eat two.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:Even better.
Steve:Go and have your own summer adventure.
Lovella:Yeah.
Steve:You can turn it into a movie.
Lovella:Go set booby traps like the kids doing the Goonies and everything.
Lovella:And maybe you can sabotage your parents' new romance.
Steve:I wouldn't suggest that.
Steve:Yeah, don't do that.
Lovella:I'm joking.
Lovella:But anyways, if you're listening on Apple, would you leave us a review?
Steve:Yes, that would be great.
Steve:Especially if you love the show.
Steve:Feel free to skip that step if you don't like the show.
Steve:You don't have to leave us a review.
Lovella:We hope you do.
Steve:Yeah, we hope you do.
Steve:If you don't.
Steve:I imagine if you're listening to this right now, you've got all the way through the episode.
Steve:You must like a little bit of this show to get through to the end.
Steve:Yeah, come on.
Steve:But yeah, leave us a review.
Steve:We'd love to see all those up on Apple.
Lovella:Oh, yeah.
Steve:We'll read some of them out on the show maybe.
Steve:Yes, we will.
Steve:If you leave us a review.
Lovella:Yeah.
Lovella:Yeah.
Lovella:Thanks for playing Kids vs. Parents.
Lovella:And we'll see you next time.
Lovella:Bye-bye.
